THIS PROGRAM IS IN HONOR OF MY (VALERIE GARDNER'S) MOTHER NESTA CROZIER PARRY (1918-2009)WHO LOST HER SIGHT DURING HER LAST 6 YEARS.
WHEN I WAS WORKING FOR THE PHILA. ZOO, I BROUGHT ANIMALS TO A BLIND SCHOOL. THE FRIENDLY ANIMALS WERE FASCINATING TO THE CHILDREN.IN RECENT YEARS I HAVE VISITED MANY RETIREMENT HOMES AND THE ANIMALS HAVE DELIGHTED THE BLIND RESIDENTS.I HAVE NOW DECIDED TO DONATE MY TIME TO FORM A REGULAR PROGRAM.

The Rattlebox Nature Center visited our Early Childhood Program last week. Every time they visit, it is an absolute delight and adventure for the students. They get to learn about and visit with actual animals and thoroughly enjoy making new animal friends."
